Advertisement - Hand drawn

Brief: This is a hand drawn first draft of our advertisement.

The advertisement shows the band's frontman in the largest format on the right hand side with the rest of the artists upside down on the left hand side. This is conventional of band artists as it gives the entire band a face the audience can recognise. The rest of the image is taken up with very large text in order to be eye catching and very easy to read for our audience.

This second screenshot shows the cover after we incorporated colour to the design. The colour of the word 'OPTIK' would be the same as the red that was used for the album cover and the colour of the rest of the font would be the same grey that was used in the album cover also. We placed the album name after the artist name and before the other information separate the information a bit more making it easier to read.

The design of the advertisement is very much in-line with the general theme was have created with the album cover, being optics, refraction and the like. 

We aimed to put an equal amount of information on the page as we found other artists had done in our research. This virtuous mean we strived for was to provide enough information to allow the audience to comprehend what is being advertised but not too much that will make them want to avoid reading it.
